With week five of the 2010 NFL season in the books, it's time for another week of power rankings. Baltimore moved to the top spot while Dallas falls.
With week five of the 2010 NFL season in the books, it's time for another week of power rankings. There were quite a few upsets this week along with a couple of teams proving they still have some work to do. With most teams still trying to find themselves, here are your NFL power rankings for week six.
- Baltimore Ravens – Can kill you with the pass or the run as they did to Denver last week. Defense remains dominant, best overall team in the NFL right now.
- Atlanta Falcons – Run the ball very well and stop the run on the other side of the ball. Matt Ryan is playing solidly as well.
- Green Bay Packers – Injuries hurt this team last week and could continue if Jermichael Finely and Aaron Rodgers miss time.
- Pittsburgh Steelers – Bye week comes just in time, 3-1 start, and now Big Ben has an extra week to get back into the routine.
- New York Jets – Defense is still great, Mark Sanchez is making the throws, this Jets team is becoming more balanced.
- New England Patriots – How good can the offense remain without Randy Moss? Defense has serious issues. Next week will tell us a lot against the Ravens.
- Chicago Bears – Defense is pretty solid and feisty. While the offense does just enough to get them over the top. Could the Bears actually win the division?
- Indianapolis Colts – This team doesn't look right. Many questions linger with a tough schedule ahead.
- Kansas City Chiefs – Last week showed us what everybody already knew. Chiefs have to be able to pass the ball in order to be taken seriously.
- New Orleans Saints – Ever since Reggie Bush got injured this team has played flat. Need to get production from their running game, Brees can't do it all.
- New York Giants – Last couple weeks this defense has woken up, playing scary. May have become the front runners for the NFC East.
- Philadelphia Eagles – Kevin Kolb or Michael Vick? Kolb was decent in his return, next week is a real test against Atlanta.
- Houston Texans – Secondary is absolutely atrocious. Who cares how good your offense is, it's hard to win when your defense gives up 330 passing yards a game.
- Tennessee Titans – Defense and Chris Johnson grinded out a victory against the Cowboys. Can they stay consistent is the question.
- Miami Dolphins – Miami had a week off to fix their special teams and get more production out of their running game. Next few weeks will show if their a pretender or a contender.
- Jacksonville Jaguars – In a four way tie in the AFC South. Next few weeks will show if this team can be a dark horse.
- Minnesota Vikings – Lost to the Jets but showed signs of life. Randy Moss will help this team tremendously and they should be fine.
- Washington Redskins – Huge win against the Packers. Although the Redskins have to get the running game going, big game against the Colts next week.
- San Diego Chargers – Mental mistakes are the reason Chargers are 2-3. No excuse to lose when you put up over 500 yards of offense.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 3-1? No, seriously. Not flashy but Tampa finds ways to win. Josh Freeman is slowly maturing into a decent QB.
- Arizona Cardinals – Forcing four turnovers, special teams and defense is the reason they beat the Saints. Offense has work to do, as they can't rely on them to pull of another great performance.
- Cincinnati Bengals – No excuse for losing to Tampa Bay at home. Lot of work to do on their bye week.
- Denver Broncos – Kyle Orton is not good enough to lead this offense with no help from the running game.
- Seattle Seahawks – Offensive line will have a huge test against Chicago's defensive line. Hopefully the bye week helped.
- Oakland Raiders – Special teams stepped up to get a win against the Chargers, but penalties and inconsistent offense will hurt this team.
- Dallas Cowboys – Running game finally got going last week so why so many pass attempts? The less throws for Tony Romo the better, three interceptions killed the Cowboys along with 133 penalty yards.
- Detroit Lions – Once they get better on defense this team will be really good. Big win for their franchise against the Rams last week.
- St. Louis Rams – 341 total yards, 33 minutes time of possession and only six points? Three turnovers didn't help though.
- San Francisco 49ers – Team with tons of talent on both sides of the ball but for whatever reason can't find a way to win.
- Cleveland Browns – Team that is improving but have to figure out the quarterback situation. Extremely tough schedule ahead.
- Buffalo Bills – Still winless, although they are finding some good players along the way. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick isn't playing that bad.
- Carolina Panthers – Can't run the ball, can't pass the ball, defense struggles. Lose to the Bears at home against a backup quarterback, have to be the worst team in the league.
